The Breakdown
3D Sculpting & Assets — ZBrush, Blender
Custom character, mythological, and anatomical asset design. ZBrush for digital sculpting of high-resolution organic and hard-surface models; Blender as the full 3D suite for modeling, rigging, and scene assembly.
World-Building & Lighting — Blender, Unreal Engine
Architectural environment design and virtual production. Environment and set construction matched to live studio light rigs, with Unreal Engine real-time rendering for immersive, cinematic virtual production.
VFX & Compositing — Nuke, After Effects
Cinematic VFX compositing, motion design, and digital look development. Nuke for node-based, film-grade, physically-accurate image integration; After Effects for titles, transitions, and finishing.
Raw Acquisition & Grading — Capture One, Resolve
Live high-resolution studio capture and look development. Tethered RAW capture with colour-accurate studio processing, and Resolve for colour grading and final master finishing.

Desert Scorpion Breakdown
1. ZBrush Sculpt — The metallic arachnid exoskeleton is sculpted first in ZBrush, every plate, joint, and barb blocked out in high-poly detail before any light hits a lens.
2. Blender Set — The desert environment and light rig are built in Blender, matching the exact key-light angle and colour temperature planned for the live studio shoot. Exoskeleton spikes are driven by a custom procedural geometry node system controlling coverage, spacing, length, and material.
3. Live Capture — Talent is lit on stage with a single hard Caravaggio key light, positioned to match the vectors already locked in the 3D previs.
4. Final Master — The ZBrush sculpt, Blender set, and live plate are merged in Nuke and colour graded into a single, physically-impossible final master.
5. Extended Set — Additional angles from the same final composite, showing the scorpion sculpture integrated from alternate camera positions.
6. References — The client-supplied moodboard: chrome-and-crimson scorpion renders, anatomical reference plates, and real specimen photography used to guide the sculpt and final grade.
